FIM World Supercross Championship Shuts Down 2026 Season Immediately
Original: FIM World Supercross Championship Announces 2026 Season Is Over, Effective Immediately
The FIM World Supercross Championship has announced that its planned 2026 season is over, effective immediately. The declaration, reported by Racer X, cancels the championship's 2026 campaign outright rather than postponing or restructuring it. Details on the reasons behind the decision, its impact on teams, riders and scheduled events, and any plans for the series beyond 2026 have not been made clear in the announcement.
Why now: The sudden and outright cancellation of an entire upcoming world championship season is unexpected news for the motorsport community.
