Ohio Blogger Jailed for Texting Nude Shrek to a Senator
Reports from Ohio claim a blogger has been jailed after sending a nude image of the animated character Shrek to a US senator via text message. The unusual story is drawing attention for its absurd mix of internet meme culture, harassment law and politics, though few details about the individuals involved or the legal charges have been confirmed so far.
Why now: The bizarre combination of a beloved cartoon character, a public official and a jail sentence makes the story highly shareable and funny.
