The attack targeted a UN-linked humanitarian convoy delivering food aid in the war-torn country, drawing sharp criticism from Washington. It comes amid Sudan's ongoing civil war, which has created one of the world's largest hunger crises, and aid groups warn strikes on humanitarian operations endanger relief efforts for millions of civilians.
