Original: If Democrats win, Himes says Trump won’t ‘accept’ election results
Democratic Representative Jim Himes of Connecticut said that if Democrats win upcoming elections, Donald Trump will not accept the results. His comments add to ongoing concerns among Democrats about whether Trump and his allies would respect an adverse electoral outcome, and they underscore the party's efforts to keep election legitimacy at the center of political debate heading into the vote.
Why now: Election integrity and whether Trump would accept a loss remain major concerns ahead of upcoming elections.
