Report: Trump floated turning Camp David into a golf club
Original: Trump eyes golf club Camp David
President Donald Trump has reportedly floated converting Camp David, the Maryland presidential retreat, into a golf resort. The claim is drawing criticism from commentators who see it as another attempt to blur the line between the presidency and his personal business interests, while supporters dismiss it as a passing idea about an underused property.
Why now: The idea of a sitting president seeking to remake a historic presidential retreat into a golf property is striking and touches on ongoing conflict-of-interest concerns.
