Trump distances himself from advisers over reported Bosnia trip
Original: chris lacivita james blair outside work
Chris LaCivita and James Blair, two of Donald Trump's top political advisers, have reportedly traveled to Bosnia's Serb-majority Republika Srpska, a territory aligned with Russia. The White House has moved to distance the president from the trip, according to reporting carried by The Guardian. The episode has raised questions about the advisers' outside work and contacts in a region where Russian influence is a concern.
Why now: Fresh reporting that two of Trump's senior advisers made an unauthorized trip to a Russia-aligned Balkan territory, and the White House's attempt to distance itself from it.
