Trump wants to turn his West Palm Beach golf club into the new Camp David
US President Donald Trump has proposed converting his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, into a replacement for Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland, according to The Washington Post. The idea would shift the official country retreat to a property the president personally owns, drawing attention to questions about the blending of his business interests with the presidency and the traditional role of Camp David.
Why now: A sitting president proposing to replace the official presidential retreat with his own private club raises conflict-of-interest concerns.
