Apple is leaving the announced discount deal on replacement ear cushions for the new Beats 360 devices to Amazon alone in Germany, according to a report by heise online. The tech news outlet criticises the arrangement, noting several drawbacks of making the official accessory deal exclusive to a single e-commerce giant rather than offering it through Apple's own channels or multiple retailers.

Why now: German tech consumers are interested in discounted official accessories for the new Beats headphones and the exclusive retail arrangement is unusual.
