Francesca Albanese Calls Netanyahu's UN Speech 'Theatrical'

Original: Francesca Albanese on ‘Fugitive’ Netanyahu’s ‘Theatrical’ UN Speech

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to the United Nations General Assembly, describing him as a 'fugitive' — a reference to the International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued against him — and dismissing the speech as 'theatrical'. Her remarks have drawn wide attention and add to the ongoing debate over Netanyahu's diplomatic standing and the war in Gaza.

Why now: Netanyahu's UN General Assembly speech and the ICC warrant against him are major ongoing news stories, and Albanese's blunt criticism is fuelling debate.
