Aaron Sorkin's 'The Social Reckoning' draws scathing reviews

Original: the social reckoning

Aaron Sorkin's new film The Social Reckoning, a follow-up to his 2010 drama The Social Network about Facebook, is being reviewed this week. The Globe and Mail calls it a 'dreadful' follow-up that is 'fit to be de-friended,' signalling sharply negative early criticism. The film is drawing wide attention across the US, UK and Australia, where it is topping search interest, as audiences weigh whether the sequel matches the original's acclaimed portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg's social network.

Why now: The film has just been released and critics' harsh reviews are sparking debate about whether it lives up to The Social Network.
