Original: ingrid alexandra von norwegen
Norway's royal family is drawing attention in German media following Crown Princess Mette-Marit's lung transplantation. The palace announced she will take no official appointments until the summer as she recovers, while King Harald, Crown Prince Haakon and the family have ended six weeks of court mourning. German outlets are also noting Haakon's absence from a marathon, prompting reflection on his former image as Norway's 'running prince'.
Why now: News of Mette-Marit's lung transplant and her prolonged recovery break has renewed interest in the Norwegian royal family.
