Character lottery prizes draw attention in Japan

Original: くじ

A wave of Japanese character lottery (kuji) announcements is gaining attention. A Chibi Maruko-chan 40th anniversary lottery will offer a 3D figure based on the first volume cover. An Ichiban Kuji releasing November 5 features a striking portrait of Gundam's Garma Zabi, roughly two metres tall. Meanwhile, a Hololive Sweets Patissiere lottery goes on sale October 13 at Lawson stores nationwide.

Why now: Multiple new character lottery launches, including a Chibi Maruko-chan 40th anniversary prize set, are being announced at the same time.
