Houthis claim new attacks on Saudi Arabia
Original: Iran-backed Houthis claim new attacks on Saudi Arabia as kingdom is pulled deeper into conflict
Iran-backed Houthi forces say they have carried out new attacks on Saudi Arabia, as the kingdom becomes increasingly drawn into the regional conflict. The Yemen-based group has repeatedly targeted Saudi territory during the war, and the latest claims underscore rising tensions between the Iran-aligned movement and the Saudi-led coalition backing Yemen's government.
Why now: Renewed Houthi attacks signal an escalation that could further entangle Saudi Arabia in the conflict.
