Trump's Midterm Messaging Undercuts GOP Candidates

Original: donald trump

Donald Trump's messaging ahead of the US midterm elections is reportedly hurting Republican candidates rather than helping them. According to Spectrum News, his campaign rhetoric and headline-grabbing interventions are clashing with what down-ballot GOP hopefuls need to win over swing voters. Party strategists are said to be frustrated that the focus remains on Trump rather than local issues, complicating the party's push to keep or win congressional seats.

Why now: Trump's campaign messaging is being reported as a liability for Republicans heading into the midterms.
