Junts says it will not back Pedro Sánchez again

Original: pedro sanchez

Spanish party Junts says it will not vote to invest Pedro Sánchez as prime minister again, with party representatives saying they have been 'scalded' by the experience of supporting him. The statement deepens uncertainty over Sánchez's position in parliament, where his government depends on Junts's votes. The comments add to pressure on the Spanish prime minister and raise questions about the stability of his minority government.

Why now: Junts's refusal to support another investiture threatens the survival of Sánchez's government.
