The BBC is highlighting that British athletes could compete for Team GB in one of the newest sports added to the Olympic programme. The piece explains what the sport involves and how members of the public might realistically qualify to represent Great Britain at the Games, underlining how newer Olympic disciplines are widening the pool of potential competitors.
Why now: Interest in newly added Olympic sports and the unexpected suggestion that ordinary people could qualify for Team GB.
