Díaz earns first postseason save for the Dodgers

Original: Díaz earns 1st Dodgers postseason save -- something that was no guarantee a month ago

Alex Díaz recorded his first postseason save for the Los Angeles Dodgers, closing out a playoff win. The milestone is notable because a month ago his role in high-leverage situations was far from assured, making his rise to the closer's job a storyline of the Dodgers' postseason run.

Why now: The Dodgers are in the playoffs and Díaz's emergence as a reliable closer after an uncertain month is a fresh storyline for fans.
