EPP Lawmakers Move to Reject EU Industrial Accelerator Act
Original: EPP Lawmakers Propose Rejecting EU Industrial Accelerator Act
Lawmakers from the European People's Party are proposing that the European Parliament reject the EU's Industrial Accelerator Act, a proposal intended to speed up industrial and manufacturing projects across the bloc. The move puts the largest group in Parliament at odds with the Act's supporters and raises questions about the EU's industrial policy agenda. Debate is expected over whether the law can still secure a majority.
Why now: The EPP's opposition could derail a flagship EU industrial policy proposal, making its fate uncertain.
