Al Jazeera turns its attention to Singapore
Original: The fact that aljazeera news has been covering about what is going on in Singapore lately is wild.
People are remarking that Al Jazeera has recently been running coverage of developments in Singapore, something many did not expect from a network more often associated with Middle East and global conflict reporting. The surprise is being shared on social media, with users noting that international scrutiny of the city-state appears to be growing. No specific story from the coverage is named in the posts driving the chatter.
Why now: Because Al Jazeera's recent Singapore coverage has surprised locals unaccustomed to the city-state drawing sustained international news attention.
