A wild sequence in the Padres-Brewers game saw a broken bat fly, a baserunner positioned in front of the shortstop, and the ball roll between the leaping runner's legs — one observer likened it to a putt-putt golf obstacle. A throwing error by Pratt handed San Diego an insurance run, putting the Padres up 4-2 after six innings.
