Residents in Kuala Lumpur are reacting to sharp swings in air quality, with the Air Quality Index falling to nearly zero before climbing back to unhealthy levels of 150-200. One unedited photo circulating online shows a brilliant blue sky with visibility stretching all the way to the horizon, described as astonishing for people living in the city right now.

Why now: The unusually clear skies and rapid AQI changes in Kuala Lumpur are striking enough that residents are sharing and commenting on them.
