Massive crowds protesting in Italy, claims commentator
Original: If you read the news you wouldn't know that massive crowds in Italy are protesting right now.
A Swedish commentator with a large following says large crowds are protesting in Italy and that mainstream news outlets are barely covering the demonstrations. No further details about the protesters' demands, the cities involved, or organisers were given in the post. The claim of a media blackout is drawing attention and debate, with some sharing it as proof of underreporting and others asking for evidence.
Why now: The post claims major protests in Italy are being ignored by mainstream media, tapping into distrust of news coverage.
