Original: Chipotle, Jersey Mike's To Open In Former Fairway Space In Stamford

Chipotle and Jersey Mike's are set to open new locations in Stamford, Connecticut, taking over the space previously occupied by the Fairway Market grocery store. The move brings two national fast-casual chains to the shopping center, filling a vacancy left by the grocer's closure. Local residents are watching to see when the new restaurants will open and what the change means for the area's retail landscape.

Why now: The closure of Fairway left a prominent retail vacancy, and residents are interested in what replaces it.
