Streamer Asmongold slams new Gears of War as 'worse than woke'
Original: Gears of War is worse than woke..
Popular streamer Asmongold has sharply criticised the Gears of War franchise, claiming in a broadcast that the series is 'worse than woke', a phrase suggesting he sees the games as going beyond typical diversity-driven design into deeper problems. The clip has drawn over a million likes, with fans and critics arguing over whether the criticism is fair or part of a wider backlash against modern game design.
Why now: Ongoing culture-war debates about 'woke' elements in major video game franchises are driving heated engagement.
