Alexa loses voice control over Echo aux input
Original: Alexa can't control the aux input on Amazon Echo speakers anymore https://www.theverge.com/tech/1006103/amazon-alexa-aux
Amazon has removed Alexa's ability to control the auxiliary input on Echo speakers by voice, according to The Verge. The change means users can no longer switch to or manage a wired audio source using voice commands, a feature previously available on devices with an aux port. The move is drawing attention from smart home users who relied on the function to connect older or non-streaming audio equipment.
Why now: Echo owners are reacting to Amazon quietly removing a long-standing voice command feature.
