European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has moved in response to French MEP Rima Hassan removing the Israeli and EU flags from a memorial commemorating the October 7 attacks. The gesture by Hassan, a left-wing lawmaker known for pro-Palestinian positions, has drawn sharp attention in EU political circles, with Metsola's reaction seen as upholding the institution's stance against acts dishonouring victims' memorials.
