Samsung's Z Fold 8 foldable phone is being offered at discounts of hundreds of dollars, according to The Verge, as part of Prime Day deal coverage. The timing is notable because Apple is preparing to launch its new iPhone lineup, and Samsung appears to be cutting prices to attract buyers before the competing devices hit the market.
Why now: Shoppers are watching for deals on flagship phones just before Apple's iPhone launch season.
