Trump claims Iran could nuke Los Angeles and San Diego

Original: The reality of Trump’s comments on Iran nuking Los Angeles and San Diego

Donald Trump has claimed Iran could hit Los Angeles and San Diego with nuclear weapons, comments now being fact-checked by CNN. Analysts note the claim has no clear basis, given Iran's lack of nuclear weapons and limits on its missile range. The remarks are drawing scrutiny as tensions over Iran's nuclear programme remain high.

Why now: Trump's provocative claim about a nuclear strike on US cities is being publicly fact-checked amid ongoing tensions over Iran's nuclear programme.
