Columnist says Hegseth should resign if he purges 'weirdos' from military
Original: HARROP: If Hegseth wants to strip the military of weirdos, he should resign
Syndicated columnist Froma Harrop argues that if Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wants to remove what he calls 'weirdos' from the US military, he should resign himself. The piece pushes back on Hegseth's rhetoric about who belongs in the armed forces, framing his comments as an insult to the diverse service members currently wearing the uniform and calling his own fitness for office into question.
Why now: Hegseth's controversial remarks about purging 'weirdos' from the military have drawn sharp public criticism.
