Dutch motoring association's cheapest cars list dominated by EVs
Original: Elektrisch rijden duur? In de top 10 goedkoopste auto’s van de ANWB staan vooral elektrische modellen. Kleintjes, en ech
The ANWB, the Dutch automobile association, has published a top 10 of the cheapest new cars, and electric models feature prominently. A car priced around 20,000 euros is considered cheap in the current market, but commentators note that electric vehicles are among the most affordable options when running costs are taken into account, challenging the perception that driving electric is expensive.
Why now: The finding counters the common belief that electric cars are more expensive than petrol models, prompting debate on affordability of EVs.
