Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Richie Palacios, a Brooklyn native, is eyeing another strong showing against the New York Yankees as the teams meet in the ALDS with an ALCS berth on the line. MLB notes no one may have relished the matchup more than Palacios, who has performed well against New York and draws extra motivation from his hometown roots and his Knicks fandom.
Why now: The Yankees-Rays ALDS is ongoing, and Palacios's hometown angle and personal success against New York make a compelling storyline.
