NFL suspends line judge Jeff Seeman two games after Cardinals incident

Original: Jeff Seeman's Two-Game Suspension Brings Trey McBride and the Cardinals Vindication The league suspended the line judge

The NFL has suspended line judge Jeff Seeman for two games after footage appeared to show him cursing at Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride late in the team's loss to the New York Giants. The suspension is being read as vindication for McBride and the Cardinals, who complained about the official's behavior during the game.

Why now: A rare league suspension of an on-field official over conduct toward a player is unusual and contentious.
