US and Iran exchange proposals through Qatari mediation
Original: U.S.-Iran diplomacy moves forward in Qatar as mediator exchanges proposals
The United States and Iran are advancing diplomatic talks hosted in Qatar, with the Gulf state acting as mediator by passing proposals between the two sides. Why now: Ongoing tensions between the US and Iran make any mediated diplomatic progress highly newsworthy.
