The Trump administration has finalized new fuel economy standards that formally roll back the electric vehicle mandate pursued under President Biden. The revised rules ease pressure on automakers to sell EVs, reversing key climate policy from the previous administration. Industry groups supportive of the change are highlighting the decision, while it is likely to draw criticism from environmental advocates and prompt legal challenges.
