A new browser tool called Map Animator creates animated route maps for travel and adventure videos. It is aimed at people who film their trips, including motorcycle tours, cycling, hiking, road trips and sailing. Users can draw a route manually or upload a GPX recording from their device, apply a visual style, and export a video clip of the animated journey for use in their content.

Why now: Travel and adventure creators are interested in a simple browser-based way to animate their recorded routes for videos.
