The UN migration agency reports that 1,770 more people have been displaced in Sudan's Blue Nile state, adding to the millions already forced from their homes by the country's civil war. The new displacement adds pressure on humanitarian operations struggling to reach vulnerable populations amid ongoing fighting between the army and paramilitary forces.

Why now: Ongoing conflict in Sudan continues to drive new waves of displacement, keeping the humanitarian crisis in the news.
