Justice Department orders staff to use Trump's AI rebrand
Original: Justice Department tells employees to adopt Trump’s AI rebrand
The Justice Department has instructed its employees to adopt the Trump administration's preferred rebrand of artificial intelligence terminology, NBC News reports. The directive means Justice staff are expected to use the administration's chosen phrasing in official communications rather than established industry language. The move follows a broader push by the White House to reshape how federal agencies talk about emerging technology, and it has drawn criticism from observers who see it as politicising technical language.
Why now: It signals the administration extending its political branding into federal agencies' technical terminology.
