Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has rejected suggestions of low morale at the party's conference in Birmingham, insisting the event is 'buzzing'. Her comments came amid online ridicule over footage and photographs appearing to show rows of empty seats, with critics mocking attendance levels. Supporters have pushed back on the characterisation, making the party's conference turnout a talking point in UK politics.
Why now: Images of empty seats at the Conservative conference are circulating and clashing with the party leadership's upbeat messaging.
