Dungeons & Dragons Staff Launch Union Drive
Original: Dungeons & Dragons union drive
Workers connected to the Dungeons & Dragons franchise are pushing to form a union, a move that would give staff collective bargaining power over pay, conditions and creative decisions. Attention is focused on Wizards of the Coast and parent company Hasbro, with fans debating how unionization could affect the beloved tabletop game and its future development.
Why now: Organizing efforts at a major gaming company are rare and raise questions about creative control and working conditions in the tabletop industry.
