Texas Transgender Advocacy Group Keeps Feeding the Panhandle Under Pressure
Original: Amid Escalating Pressure, Texas Transgender Advocacy Group Continues Feeding the Panhandle
A Texas transgender advocacy group says it is continuing food distribution efforts across the state's Panhandle region despite escalating political and social pressure. The organisation, which has been providing meals and support to residents in the area, reports it will not halt its work even as transgender advocacy groups in Texas face increasing legal and legislative hostility. Supporters have praised the group's community service, while the wider climate for trans-led organisations in the state grows more difficult.
Why now: It highlights a transgender-led community aid effort persisting amid the ongoing political backlash against transgender advocacy in Texas.
