Commenters Say Gaza Has Dropped Off the News Agenda
Original: #Gaza Ha ha #NAZA stole the attention off of Gaza for 2 weeks. Nobody cares Lately, Gaza is a non news event. Russia is
Posts circulating online claim that Gaza has faded from the news cycle over the past two weeks, with attention shifting to NASA-related stories and the Russia-Ukraine war. One widely shared comment sarcastically thanks Israel for what it calls 'unappreciated hard work' in the region, while noting that Houthi forces are being hit in a counteroffensive. The remarks reflect frustration that the Gaza conflict is being treated as 'a non news event' despite ongoing suffering there.
Why now: People are reacting to the perception that media coverage has shifted away from Gaza toward other global stories.
