About 100 Students Evacuated After Fires at Paris High School

Original: place de la nation

Around one hundred pupils were evacuated from a Paris high school after fires were set at the gates of the establishment, according to BFM. A government minister condemned the incidents, calling them 'criminal acts'. Firefighters responded near the Place de la Nation area, and the evacuation proceeded without reported casualties as an investigation into who started the blazes gets underway.

Why now: Fresh incidents of deliberately set fires at a school, paired with a minister's strong condemnation, are drawing attention to school safety in Paris.
