Original: Frankfurt Book Fair 2026: Liu Cixin, Liu Zhenyun Headline China’s Rights Push
China is preparing a major rights-selling presence at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026, with science fiction author Liu Cixin and novelist Liu Zhenyun leading the lineup of featured writers. The campaign aims to expand international sales of Chinese literary works, building on the global profile of Liu Cixin's 'Three-Body Problem' trilogy and Liu Zhenyun's widely translated satirical fiction.
Why now: China's use of its biggest literary exports to drive foreign rights deals at the world's largest publishing fair is drawing attention from the international book industry.
