Artichoke blooms fully in German allotment garden
Original: # schrebergarten # kleingarten # Garten # gardening Artischockenblüte voll aufgeblüht. Dieses Jahr erstmalig gut gewachs
A gardener reports that an artichoke in their Schrebergarten allotment has flowered in full bloom for the first time, having grown well this year. The post, shared with German allotment and gardening hashtags, is a small seasonal milestone rather than news, but it is drawing modest attention from the home and garden community, where artichokes are considered a demanding crop in the German climate.
Why now: Home gardeners enjoy sharing first-time growing successes, and artichokes are notoriously tricky to grow well in Germany.
