House of Stassi: reality TV at its most self-aware and brutal

Original: House of Stassi: never before has reality TV been this self-aware – and truly brutal

A new reality show called House of Stassi is drawing attention for pushing self-awareness to an extreme, with reviewers describing it as the most brutally honest instalment the genre has produced. The series follows Stassi Schroeder and charts reality TV examining its own mechanics, with critics highlighting how far the format has evolved from its scripted-feeling roots.

Why now: The show's unusually candid, self-critical take on the reality TV genre is sparking fresh debate about where the format is heading.
