CJP leaders announce detention decision amid ongoing protest movement

Original: অভিজিৎ দীপকে

News from West Bengal reports that leaders of the CJP have decided to detain the movement's leader after he announced the protest would continue. Delhi Police detained over a hundred demonstrators, which the CJP described as a 'partial victory', with the leader vowing to return stronger the next day. Separately, a BJP crowd-control strategy reportedly failed as a well-attended public meeting was held in Mumbai.

Why now: The arrest of protest leaders and mass detentions are escalating a movement people are following closely.
