Ukraine's Air Force says Russia could increase the speed of its jet-powered attack drones to 800-900 km/h, up from roughly 600 km/h currently. According to the deputy commander of the Air Force, interceptors needed to counter such drones are not expected to arrive in sufficient quantities before the end of the year, raising concerns about Ukraine's air defences.

Why now: Faster Russian drones would be harder to intercept while Ukraine still lacks sufficient interceptor supplies, making this a pressing air-defence concern.
