Burlington's Central Park fields to reopen after Thanksgiving with cricket permit-only

Original: Burlington's Central Park fields to reopen after Thanksgiving, but cricket's return will be permit-only

Burlington's Central Park fields are set to reopen after the Thanksgiving weekend, according to a report from Inside Halton. However, cricket will not return on an open basis; play will be permitted only for those who obtain a permit. The decision affects local cricket players and community groups who have used the fields, and is likely to prompt discussion about access to recreational space in the city.

Why now: Local cricket players and residents are reacting to restricted access at a popular community field ahead of its reopening.
