Russia's Defence Ministry says its forces shot down 1,750 Ukrainian drones, 17 Flamingo cruise missiles, two guided aerial bombs and a HIMARS projectile over the past 24 hours. The figures come as Ukraine ramps up long-range strikes deep into Russian territory using domestically produced weapons, and the claims cannot be independently verified.
Why now: Russia's unusually high claims reflect the escalating drone and missile exchange between the two countries.
