Cheetahs to play European games in Swansea
The Cheetahs, the South African rugby union side, are set to stage their European fixtures in Swansea, Wales. The decision means the Free State franchise will host its home games in the EPCR competition at a Welsh venue rather than in Bloemfontein. Details on which matches, the chosen ground and the reasons behind the move have not yet been set out in the available reports.
Why now: The unusual decision for a South African club to host European competition matches in Wales is striking for rugby fans.
